Catch the Wave International Night
Edinburgh Playhouse Saturday 12 June, 7.30pm
An evening of international dance, drama, music and mime - this was a first for - we have never shared the stage with dancers, including the Korean Fan Dance, the Tinikling Dance, Irish dancers and more. All crew from the MV DOULOS, berthed at Ocean Terminal, Leith during June 04, next to the Royal Yacht Britannia.
The crew have performed all over the world, taking their show into third world countries visited by the ship. The ship was built in 1914, just two years after the Titanic, and is the oldest ocean-going passenger ship in the world today. Breaking more records, with half a million books on board, she is the world's largest floating bookshop.
The choir, band and orchestra joined with the crew to present a truly varied show - certainly one of the more unique acts to hit Edinburgh in recent years.
